A Brief Introduction

The Animal Kingdom of Yoga seeks to combine the natural stretching techniques of animals with the modern yoga of today.

The inspiration for yoga asanas came from observing animals in their natural state, and this shows that the animals were the first to do yoga. The different animals used in coming up with physical postures have different attributes which are relatable to the human mind, body, and spirit. Yoga originated from India where the people looked at the animals and developed postures that mimic the animals in a bid to get inner peace and control of the human body and mind.

Also, this practice of yoga increases strength, flexibility, sensitivity, intuition, and awareness for well being for seniors. Moreover, this is not just for humans but applies to animals too. Animals are three to five times stronger than humans. In addition, animals were the first to demonstrate yoga movements, as the earliest yogis were influenced by what they learned from nature. Finally, everything in nature along with animals is a gift for humans to learn from.
